Wild Sugar Fashion Parade at Cairns Surf Life Club 2021

I was thrilled to have my new collection walk the catwalk at the Cairns Surf Lifesaving Club last Saturday 20th March, 2021. This is part of a new collection I am developing for Wild Sugar called “Ich Liebe Dich” German for “I Love You”.

Thank you to the Cairns Surf Lifesaving Club in Palm Cove for inviting us to be a part of the day’s events and to all the patrons of the Club for welcoming us.

Wild Sugar Cairns Surf Life Club Fashion Parade

LIFESAVING training and equipment at the Cairns Surf Lifesaving Club have been boosted thanks to an annual fundraising event involving the club’s 2021 Surf Woman of the Year entrant, Zara Chauvin-Hartmann.

The club’s third annual Surf Woman Fundraising event featured a high tea and fashion show that raised about $8000. Ms Chauvin-Hartmann said the day was “really successful” with the help of local businesses. “The whole event had everyone so involved and really excited to support a great cause,” she said. “Every cent comes back to our club to help with training and to buy lifesaving gear.” The 19-year-old said the proceeds would also help the club deliver social and educational initiatives, including water-safety awareness and beach programs.

“We’re really focused on youths and the community this year — to give those who want to do surf lifesaving training an opportunity,” she said.

The fashion show was conducted by Wild Sugar boutique designer and owner Sajeela Jamie.

“People really loved the show. I had lots of compliments with people asking me about the designs,” Mrs Jamie said.
